On May 19, 50 member of the DWS team will embark on a sponsored hike along the Jurassic Coast, to raise a minimum of £10,000 for Dementia UK.
CityFibre is sponsoring the event and five of its team will join DWS on the expedition.
The hike will cover a 14.5-mile stretch of Jurassic Coast, starting at Kimmeridge Bay, and ending at Swanage Beach in Dorset.
Terry O’Brien, CEO of DWS said: “Nothing bonds a team like the physical and mental challenge of a long-distance hike!
“Not only will this challenge raise money for Dementia UK, a fantastic charity, but the relationships built during these events and the positive impact on our wellbeing cannot be overstated.”
Joanna Sullivan, Head of Community Fundraising, Events and Innovation at Dementia UK added: “Every three minutes, someone in the UK develops dementia. Thanks to the hard work of our amazing fundraisers like DWS, more families than ever will be able to access the life-changing support offered by our dementia specialist Admiral Nurses and national Dementia Helpline.”
