Disruptive Vapour aligns with tech giants

A link up with Tech Data and enhanced relationships with Fortinet and Veeam put cloud specialist Vapour on the road to hitting its £7m turnover target by year end and on course to bring greater disruption to the market, according to CEO Tim Mercer.

“We are not afraid to disrupt," he stated. "We can shake up the norm in wider segments of the market with these tech giants by our side.”

The Tech Data deal sees Yorkshire-based Vapour appointed as a Microsoft Cloud Solutions Provider; and enhancing its relationship with Fortinet enables Vapour to launch a security-first SD-WAN network.

The third collaboration will give Vapour access to Veeam’s new suit of hybrid backup, data management, servers, storage and disaster recovery solutions.

“We’ll continue to collaborate with resellers throughout the channel and hope we can further strengthen their proposition by enhancing our toolkit, while satisfying some of the opportunities that are coming in directly to our business too.”

The news dovetails with a company rebrand, a £350k investment into its portfolio and the creation of several new jobs.
