Boldyn and EE partner boost mobile network in London

Boldyn Networks and EE are deploying small cells to boost mobile network capacity across London’s busiest high streets, with the first now live at Kings Cross.

These small cells are powered by brand fibre, enabling download speeds of up to 300Mbps.

The project builds on Boldyn and TfL’s 20-year concession agreement and uses existing TfL assets such as fibre ducts, lighting columns and bus shelters to host the units

Paul Osborne, CCO, UK&I at Boldyn Networks said: “This complements our work bringing 4G/5G to the London Underground and Elizabeth line.”

The first installations in Kings Cross and Euston will be followed by expansion in Southwark and Westminster.
