Cisco to acquire Accedian and boost network play

Cisco intends to acquire network performance monitoring partner Accedian, citing increasing subscriber expectations and stringent performance requirements.

The deal will provide Cisco CSPs with real-time data and actionable insights to ensure their networks perform as expected.

The two companies have collaborated in the last two years on the Cisco SolutionsPlus program to deliver a joint automation and assurance solution for service provider customers.

SVP and GM of Datacentre and Provider Connectivity, Kevin Wollenweber said: “The Accedian team will join my Data Center and Provider Connectivity organization within Cisco Networking. We expect to close the acquisition during the first quarter of Cisco’s FY24.”
