Azlan to host Internet of Everything event with Cisco

Azlan is to host a joint event with Cisco on February 4th highlighting the business potential of the Internet of Everything (IoE) for resellers.

The Turning IoE to Profit discussion, which takes place at the ME Hotel on The Strand in central London, will highlight the scale of the opportunity, which Cisco has estimated at $19 trillion over the next decade, and the role resellers can play in driving awareness and delivering solutions in key vertical markets. The manufacturing and retail sectors are seen as the biggest areas of potential for IoE.

Andy Dow, Group Marketing Director and Azlan Director, who will be one of the speakers at the event, said: "The IoE is being hailed as the next big trend in IT and the numbers are impressive.

"Yet for resellers, systems integrators and retailers, it's not at all clear today how money can be made from IoE. More devices may be connected, but according to Cisco only seven percent of companies are ready for the IoE, so there is a massive gap to be filled and exploited in this market."

Nick Blofeld, Internet of Everything Lead at Cisco will provide an end user perspective on IoE at the event, and Nicholas Edmond, Internet of Everything Business Development Manager at the company, will explain how Cisco believes the channel can capitalise on potential of the IoE. There will also be breakout sessions focusing on manufacturing and retail.
