Windows 11 to help channel fulfil ‘digital transformation promise’

Microsoft’s newly announced next generation operating system, Windows 11, will help the channel to fulfil its client’s imminent digital transformation needs, according to Nicole Dezen, Microsoft Global Partner Solutions Device Partner Sales VP.

In a blog post she wrote: “Windows 11 provides a new platform for distributors, resellers and services partners to innovate, grow their businesses, and to deliver on the promise of digital transformation for customers across organizations, and industries.”

This language fits with Microsoft’s claims that Windows 11 was ‘The Operating System for Hybrid Work’, showing that the company is heavily leaning into a product that suits digital and cloud adoption.

To this theme, Microsoft Teams also receives a highlight spot in its taskbar, integrating it into the fabric of the operating system, signalling its rapid adoption – (and potentially the death of Skype).

Discussing opportunities for partners to sell, Dezen added “Migrating customers to Microsoft 365 helps establish higher value, subscription revenue streams from device to the cloud – from monthly Microsoft 365 subscriptions to Azure Virtual Desktop and Device as a Service (DaaS).”

“By leveraging Windows and Microsoft 365 technologies and tools such as Azure Active Directory, Intune, Endpoint Analytics, Autopilot and Cloud Configuration, partners are well-positioned to deliver highly scalable, cloud-based device and application deployment, management, custom solutions, and support services.”
