Wilkinson predicts FTTP and 5G momentum

The influence of FTTP and 5G will be more strongly felt this year while the rise of smart cities and IoT will continue to drive the connectivity market, according to Beyond Connectivity (formerly Nimans Network Services) Head of Sales Graham Wilkinson.

“The full impact of 5G won’t be felt for at least another 18 months," he stated. "A new iPhone will fuel demand but at the moment only selected towns and cities can take advantage.”

Beyond Connectivity was launched last year as a provider of services such as mobile, connectivity, hosted, M2M, mobile device management, support and SIP services.

"This year will be a year of progression and stability as the threat of Labour's free broadband policy subsides and the shackles of Brexit uncertainty are hopeflly finally removed," he added. "Exciting and interesting times lie ahead with further challenges too.”
