Simoco Wireless Solutions has appointed Graeme Warne to a newly created Business Development Manager position, specifically overseeing its growing range of solutions for transport organisations.
He joins from a senior business development position at Dynniq, a provider of transport management systems.
Simoco Wireless Solutions works across all areas of the transport industry. The company provides and maintains communications infrastructure for Transport for London, including 24/7 support for the city's busiest road tunnels, handling 250,000 vehicles a day. It also operates communication networks across 18 UK airports, including Heathrow.
The company's expertise in developing bespoke telemetry systems enables transport organisations to capture information from across wide areas and constantly moving fleets, ensuring more efficient fleet management and a proactive approach to maintenance and repairs.
With the Emergency Services Network (ESN) currently in development, Simoco is also helping transport organisations to ready themselves for integration with the new network.
Andy Woodhall, Chief Sales Officer at Simoco Wireless Solutions, said: "Transport is a rapidly growing client sector for us, and Graeme's appointment is specifically to support and develop that function."
Warne added: "I'm looking forward to being part of this ambitious company, and putting together innovative, mission-critical communications solutions within this fast-growth sector."
