Griffin Internet has launched an automatic ADSL to ADSL Failover product for companies requiring a near 100% uptime guarantee on their broadband service. Griffin says that for total resilience ADSL to ADSL Failover uses lines from different broadband operators with Griffin's intelligent network managing the same IP addresses on both paths.
This product is exclusive to the channel, and according to Andrew Dickinson, Sales and Marketing Director at Griffin Internet, early indications are that SMBs are prepared to pay a significant premium for the increased level of service that it offers. He commented: "We are not charging our partners any more than a set-up fee for installing the system and our standard price for the broadband lines. They can present the product as a managed service and charge a monthly premium for it."
