Excalibur bolsters education sector operation with key buy

Swindon-based Excalibur Communications is targeting the education sector with an expanded offering and deeper skill set following its acquisition of Salisbury company Techs4Education, which was founded in 2010.

Excalibur's existing education practice will move under the Techs4Education brand and the acquisition builds on the acquisition of Ntegra's Support Services division in April 2017.

The enlarged Techs4Education division will now serve over 30 schools in the south and south west regions.

Excalibur CEO Peter Boucher stated: "By joining forces with Techs4Education we can reach more schools and support them in harnessing the latest technology for effective classroom learning."

Steve Worthington, Techs4Education CEO, added; "The team at Techs4Education has over eight years of experience in delivering IT support and services to schools. Our knowledge of the sector combined with the resources available from Excalibur will enable us to broaden the IT and telecommunications solutions we provide to the education sector."

The purchase of Techs4Education is Excalibur's 5th IT acquisition in the past seven years.
