ALE partners flock to Rainbow cloud collaboration service

Adoption of Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise's (ALE) Rainbow cloud collaboration platform continues at pace with over 900 business partners worldwide now having access to the service.

A third of ALE partners onboarded Rainbow during the last quarter enabling them to address the lucrative collaboration market opportunity, said the firm.

The onboarding process gives partners access to marketing support, customer management resources and incentives designed to support the digital workplace transformation.

Rainbow's services can be delivered either as a standalone solution or through a hybrid approach.

Open APIs enable developers and partners to leverage the Rainbow platform to embed collaboration tools into business applications and processes.

Moussa Zaghdoud, Head of Cloud Business Unit, ALE, stated: "Today, there are more than 40 million active users of ALE communications solutions that now have the ability to integrate Rainbow into existing applications and processes - whether for team collaboration, front line customer service or automated workflows."

Gartner says spending on workstream collaboration was at $171m in 2016, and forecasts spending to grow with a CAGR of 96% to reach $4.931bn by 2021.
