Tech Data's appointment of Darren Dixon as Microsoft Business Unit Manager comes as the distributor expands its Microsoft SureStep team to include eight 'Ambassadors'.
Dixon, who has 23 years experience working in distribution account management, joined Tech Data eight years ago as IBM Business Development Manager and spent the last three years as Business Manager for Lenovo Data Centre and Nutanix.
He said: “Cloud solutions and services are one of the fastest growing areas of our business and moving to the Microsoft team as Tech Data is progressing to the next phase of partner development and growth is an exciting prospect."
