Avast valued at $3.2bn after London Stock Exchange listing

Avast's IPO on the LSE valued the security business at £2.4bn, raising $816.6m in primary and secondary proceeds after floating around 25% of the firm's stock, making this the largest tech IPO across Europe in 2018 and one of the five largest tech IPOs of all time on the London Stock Exchange.

The company acquired AVG in 2016 and supports more than 435 million users worldwide.

Vincent Steckler, CEO of Avast, said: "This significant milestone will support our growth as we begin the next chapter in the company's history."
